Chen Hong (actress)

Chen Hong ( Chinese  陳紅  /  陈红 , Pinyin Chén Hóng ; born December 13, 1968 in Jiangxi , People's Republic of China ) is a Chinese actress and film producer .

Chen Hong began her artistic career as a student, worked as a student in various classic film adaptations and thus established herself as a young star. After completing her studies, she played in a variety of different film and television productions in a wide variety of genres. The actress embodied a broad repertoire of diverse roles - from a naive girl, to a rebel, to an athletic martial arts character.

In 1993 she was voted one of the four most popular actresses in the country by the Chinese audience. She was also named to the list of the most sensational Asian actresses in Singapore in 1995 and was named Ambassador of Chinese Women by the All China Women's Association in 2002.

She is married to the film director Chen Kaige .
