Chen Yuan (entrepreneur)

Chen Yuan ( Chinese  陈 元 , Pinyin Chén Yuán ; born January 1945 ) is a Chinese manager and banker .

Life

His father was the Chinese politician Chen Yun , who belonged to the leading generation in the People's Republic of China . Chen studied economics at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing. He was the secretary of the Xicheng District Communist Party in Beijing. In the 1990s he worked for the People's Bank of China . From 1998 to April 2013 he headed the Chinese company China Development Bank (CDB).
