The Chenard & Walcker Sport was a racing vehicle that was developed for racing purposes by Chenard & Walcker in 1922 .

The Chenard & Walcker Sport was originally a normal road vehicle that was built by Chenard & Walcker in Asnières-sur-Seine . The vehicle had a 3-liter, 4-cylinder in- line engine with an overhead camshaft and diagonal valves.

In the first Le Mans 24-hour race in 1923 , two sports were at the start. According to the rules of the race, at least 30 pieces of a vehicle type participating in the race had to be built, which was easily achieved by the sports model introduced in 1922. At Le Mans, Chenard & Walcker celebrated a double victory with the car. André Lagache and René Léonard won with an average speed of 92.064 km / h in front of their brand colleagues Raoul Bachmann and Christian Dauvergne . A sports model was also used in Le Mans in 1924 . This time Raoul Bachmann contested the race with his brother Fernand and was unable to finish the race on the sixth lap after an accident.
