The Chengdu Sports Center Stadium ( Chinese 成都 体育 中心 , Pinyin Chéngdū tǐyù zhōngxīn ) is a multifunctional stadium in Chengdu , People's Republic of China with a capacity of 40,000 seats. Football is currently the most common stadium event. The Chengdu Blades club plays its home games here. The stadium was built in 1991 and served as a venue for games of the Women's World Cup in 2007 .
