Cherno Marenah

Cherno Marenah (* in Kundung in the 20th century ; also spelled Cherno Marena ) is a Gambian lawyer.

Life

Cherno Marenah attended St. Augustine's High School from 1989 to 1994 , after which he studied law.

Marenah has been working as a public prosecutor since the beginning of 2000. At the beginning of December 2008, Marenah was appointed to the interim board of the Gambia Telecommunications Company (GAMTEL) as a lawyer for the attorney general's office. The end of December was a drug Committee ( English Medicines Board ) was formed. The work of the Board of Directors is to enforce the Medicines Act, which controls the manufacture, import, sale and distribution of medicines. Marenah was appointed here as an attorney for the Attorney General's office, Cherno Marenah was appointed to this committee. In 2013 Marenah worked as Registrar General in the Ministry of Justice.

End of January 2015 Marenah has the function of the Solicitor General and Legal Secretary , is he (in Apothekenrat English pharmacy council ) appointed. In January 2016, still Solicitor General and Legal Secretary, he was removed from his post on May 12, 2016. He was allegedly linked to alleged involvement in the Gambia National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) oil fraud , with nine other people in custody and charged. The case got through the media as a GNPC scandal . The group is believed to have deliberately impacted Gambia's economy between 2015 and 2016 in Banjul. As of May 8, 2017, Cherno Marenah will be working again as Solicitor General and Legal Secretary after one year. Saffie Sankareh meanwhile served as Solicitor General and Legal Secretary, after Marenah's return she moved to the Gambian Foreign Ministry.
