Chesapeake Shores is an American drama series that premiered on August 14, 2016 on the Hallmark Channel . The series is available on Netflix in German-speaking countries . By 2020, four seasons had been broadcast in a total of 36 episodes. In April 2020, the series was extended for a fifth season.

Abby O'Brien Winters is returning to her hometown of Chesapeake Shores, Maryland from New York after receiving a panicked call from her youngest sister Jess, who is renovating the Eagle Point inn. Abby's demanding career, divorce, and young daughters kept her too busy to even think about the city her father built. If she saved her sister's inn from foreclosure, it means she could deal not only with her broken family but also with Trace Riley, her first love, who she abruptly left sixteen years ago. He is an obstacle at first, but it becomes an unexpected ally and a second chance to find love. The troubled family dynamic is heightened when Abby's estranged mother returns to town.
