Chessgate is a German chess book publisher that was founded in 2001 as Chessgate AG . The German grandmaster Christopher Lutz is the sole director , while the grandmaster and former World Cup candidate Artur Jussupow sits on the supervisory board. The publisher is based in Nettetal .

In addition to the publication and online distribution of chess literature , Chessgate offers a news service on its website on the topic of chess , reviews of chess books, training offers, game analyzes by grandmasters and stories about chess. Events are organized and major events in this sport are presented to a wide audience and commented on by chess grandmasters; since 2001, for example, the Dortmund Chess Days , the most important chess tournament on German soil.
