Chevron Phillips is a joint venture between Chevron and Phillips 66 founded in 2000 .
It is one of the largest manufacturers of polyolefins such as ethene , propene , polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP). In 1973, the large-scale production of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS, Ryton ) began at Chevron Phillips . The company is also in styrene-butadiene rubber ( K-Resin SBC ) and thiols as odorants ( Scentinel ) a major producer.
