Chicago Breakdown is a 1926 composition by Jelly Roll Morton .

Chicago Breakdown is a composition of premodern jazz (32 bars in the form AB). It was published in 1940 by Louis Armstrong , included in his 50 Hot Choruses for Cornet .

A recent recording was made by Dieter Manderscheid and Thomas Heberer on their 1989 album Chicago Breakdown with titles by Jelly Roll Morton .
