Chie Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 千 絵 , Tanaka Chie ; born August 17, 1981 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese model and actress who mainly works in Taiwan . She is mainly through the films Cape No. 7 and Seediq Bale .

biography

Her father is the make-up artist Tony Tanaka, famous in Japan. At the age of 17 she played for the first time in a TV drama ( Bishōjo H ).

She then studied first at Tamagawa University in Machida , Tokyo. Hoping to improve her career, she moved to Taiwan in June 2006 and took an eight-month non-acting Chinese course at the Mandarin Training Center at the National Taiwan Normal University . She justified her decision to learn Chinese with the fact that she had no artistic specialties in Japan. Before studying language in Taiwan, she was already known in the Chinese-speaking area for her work on several music videos and the film Initial D.

Shortly before her planned return flight in March 2007, she was directed by Wei Te-Sheng for the role of Tomoko in the film Cape No. 7 who found her on her blog. She then stayed in Taiwan.
