Children's aid organization ChildFund Germany e. V. is a German non-governmental development cooperation organization that focuses its work on projects aimed at children and young people. Until the end of August 2009 the name was CCF Children's Fund . The association was founded in 1978 in Nürtingen . The work is mainly financed from donations and sponsorship contributions, to a lesser extent from public funds. In the 2011 financial year, the total income was around € 8.41 million. It has 21 voting members and 16 full-time employees. According to the company, more than 80,000 children and their families in 42 countries were helped.

The association helps people to help themselves in the context of Christian charity. The work focuses on needy children and their families in economically less developed countries, regardless of their gender, nationality or religion. The sponsorship contributions of the donors are used in family aid projects as needed. Ensuring comprehensive basic services in the areas of nutrition, health and education are the most important goals of this work.

The association is recognized as a non-profit organization and has had the donation seal of the German Central Institute for Social Issues since 1995 . He is a signatory of the Transparent Civil Society Initiative .

In 2010, however, the information portal Charitywatch criticized the level of administrative costs as well as the honesty in fundraising. ChildFund Germany contradicted these allegations.

Since 2002, these have been campaigning for better living conditions and children's rights in 59 countries around the world. Binding standards in the areas of finance, program work, fundraising and organizational management ( governance ) apply to all members .
