Chinasat 2C ( Chinese  中 星 2C , Pinyin Zhōngxīng 2C ) is a Chinese communications satellite of Satellite Communications (China Satcom).

It was launched on November 3, 2015 at 16:25 UTC by a Langer Marsch 3B / G2 launcher from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in an elliptical orbit inclined around 27.1 degrees to the Earth's equator with 194 km perigee and 35,833 km apogee . The remaining orbit change required into geostationary orbit is to be achieved by the satellite with an on-board drive.

According to the Chinese state television ( China Central Television , CCTV), the three-axis stabilized satellite will enable the transmission of radio and television programs and the provision of communication services - also for mobile devices - for various institutions in China. Western observers assign military tasks to the satellite. Probably on the satellite bus 4 DFH- based satellite was developed by the China Academy of Space Technology built.
