Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine ( Chinese  中國 中醫 科學院  /  中国 中医 科学院 , Pinyin Zhongguo Zhongyi Kexueyuan , English China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences / China Academy of TCM Science / China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, abbreviation CATCM ) was originally founded on Founded December 19, 1955. It is the largest and most important national Chinese center for research, health care and teaching of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

Its seat is in Beijing , the current president is Cao Hongxin ( 曹洪欣 ).

Among other things, the academy was involved in drawing up the list of the intangible cultural heritage of the People's Republic of China for the Chinese State Council .

The academy includes 13 institutes, 6 hospitals, a graduate school and a publishing house for books on the subject of “traditional Chinese medicine” and specialist journals. The academy has 4,000 employees, including 2,300 experts in various fields.
