Ching Ling Foo with Harry Houdini
Ching Ling Foo (actually Chee Ling Qua ; * 1854 in Beijing ; † 1922 ) was a Chinese juggler and magician .
At the age of 16 he began to study Chinese wizardry. In Beijing he was appointed court magician. In 1898 he went to the USA with his show, where he stayed for three years. It was here that William E. Robinson began mimicking his show, creating a rivalry between the two. He then traveled through Europe and returned to China. In 1914 he went to the USA again.
