It was only founded in 2004 as a counterpoint to the first Indian professional club FC Kochin . In the first year Viva Kerala reached the semi-finals of the championship in Kerala, 2006 Viva Kerala won the championship in Kerala after a 1-1 against State Bank of Travancore .
