Chiyoda (Chiyoda)
Chiyoda ( Japanese 千代 田 ) is a district of the Chiyoda district of the Japanese prefecture of Tokyo . Chiyoda is located in the middle of the Chiyoda district and thus in the center of Tokyo and consists only of the Imperial Palace and the Higashi-Gyoen , the "Eastern Imperial Gardens", which have been open to the public since 1968. On the grounds of the palace (address: Chiyoda 1-1) there is also the Imperial Court Office including the attached hospital (Chiyoda 1-2) and the "headquarters of the palace police" ( kōgū keisatsu hombu , Chiyoda 1-3). The kitanomaru park and the "outer palace garden" ( Kokyo Gaien ) do not belong to Chiyoda.
