Chloe Neill

Chloe Neill (* 1975 in Arkansas ) is an American author . In Germany she is known for her book series about the Chicagoland Vampires .

Life

Neill was born in Arkansas in 1975. She studied law at the University of Nebraska. Originally, Neill never wanted to be a writer. During her school and university days, she made a mental note of not choosing a job that would require her to write too much. In an interview, she stated that at the time she was not good at constructing sentences and was having difficulty writing. In a part-time job that she did during her student days, she had to pursue journalistic activities. Writing became increasingly easier for her. Eventually she started writing fanfiction, which she quickly gave up to create her own characters and stories. In 2005 Neill wrote her first own story. In the meantime, 28 books by Neill have been published. She writes about two books a year. The most famous books are the novels from the Chicagoland Vampires series. In addition to the 13 novels in the series, Neill wrote an offshoot to the series entitled The Heirs of Chicagoland . Their first novel Wild Hunger was published in August 2018. The Chicagoland Vampires series has been translated into numerous languages, including Spanish, Italian and German. In Germany the books were published by Bastei Lübbe and were translated into German by Marcel Aubron-Bülles . In addition, the books were published as audio books by Audible .

Neill lives in Omaha with her husband and their two dogs . In addition to her work as an author, Neill works as a contract lawyer.
