Chong-Fuk Lau

Chong-Fuk Lau ( 劉 創 馥 ) is Professor of Philosophy at the Chinese University of Hong Kong .

Life

Chong-Fuk Lau completed his Bachelor of Science in Information Engineering in 1995 and his Master of Philosophy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997. He then did his doctorate in 2002 at the University of Heidelberg . After completing his doctorate, he received a research grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and taught at the Institute for Philosophy at the Technical University of Darmstadt . He has been teaching at the Philosophy Faculty of the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2004 and is currently Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Research Department.

His research focus is German philosophy with a focus on Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and Immanuel Kant . He has published several scientific papers, two books of his own and one book as a co-author.
