Chortiatis (wind)

The Chortiatis ( Greek Χορτιάτης ( . M sg. ); English transcription Hortiatis ) is the name of a case winds in Greece . It occurs on the mountain of the same name southeast of the city of Thessaloniki and its properties are roughly similar to the foehn . It is characterized by short and strong gusts of wind. Its area of ​​activity is limited to the bay of Thessaloniki.
