Chrannest

The Chrannest family has been in Vienna since 1288 with Heinrich Chrannest, an influential cloth merchant, and was one of the close followers of the new sovereign princes, the Habsburgs . The brothers Heinrich and Wernhard were among the beneficiaries of the confiscations of property that Frederick the Fair ordered after the unsuccessful uprising of 1309 .
