Christopher "Chris" Payne (born September 15, 1990 in Manly ) is an Australian football player .
Career
Payne played for Manly United in the New South Wales Premier League as a teenager and was signed to A-League club Sydney FC in 2008 . At Sydney, the storm talent played mostly for the youth team in the National Youth League and won the championship with the team there. He made five appearances for the professional team of Sydney FC in his debut season, but only had 88 minutes of playing time.
In March 2009 he was invited to a training camp for the Australian U-20 team for the first time, which served as preparation for the 2009 Junior World Cup in Egypt in September.
