Christa Gangl

Christa Gangl (born December 19, 1948 in Schwaz ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) at rest. Between 1999 and 2005 she was a member of the Tyrolean provincial government .

Christa Gangl was a member of the Tyrolean state parliament from March 25, 1987, and was vice-president of the state parliament from April 5, 1994 to March 30, 1999. On March 30, 1999, she was elected to the Tyrolean provincial government, where she initially took over the environment and nature conservation department; from 2002 she was responsible for the social sector. In her second term in office, there had been several rumors about her replacement. After the state elections in 2003, Hannes Gschwentner tried to get Thomas Pupp, chairman of nature lovers, into the state government. In 2005 Christa Gangl finally resigned for personal and health reasons. Gangl was replaced as regional councilor by Hans Lindenberger .
