Christa Kilian-Hatz (born September 23, 1963 in Munich ) is a German Africanist.

Life

From 1983 to 1985 she trained as an insurance saleswoman at Münchener Rückversicherungs -AG München . From 1986 to 1987 she was involved in development aid in the Baaka - Pygmies in Cameroon (literacy in French and in the local Baka language and documentation and publication of myths of the Pygmies). Her main research interests are pygmy languages ​​in Africa as ways to the original language of mankind, the emergence and change of the grammar of human language, universal definition of the word class ' ideophone ' and individual language descriptions : documentation and analysis of the pygmy language Baka (Cameroon) and the Schnalz language Khwe ( Namibia ).
