Christel Dettmann

Christel Dettmann (born September 19, 1943 in Magdeburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1990 to 2003 she was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school, Dettmann trained as a pharmacy assistant in 1962. She then studied chemistry at the engineering school for chemistry in Magdeburg. From 1967 to 1979 she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Coatings and Paints. Then she worked in research and development at VEB Electronic Components Teltow.

Dettmann is a member of the SPD. From 1990 to 2003 she was a directly elected member of the Brandenburg State Parliament. In 1999 she took over the deputy chairmanship of the Brandenburg SPD parliamentary group. She was a member of various committees in the Landtag, including the Main Committee, the Committee on Home Affairs, the Committee on Budget and Finance and the Committee on Budgetary Control, which she chaired from 1999 until she left the Landtag early at the end of 2003. In addition, Dettmann was a member of the Presidium of the State Parliament from 1994 to 1999. In addition to her state parliament activities, she was a member of the Teltow city council from 1993 to 2000, and as chairwoman from 1998. Since 1998 she has been a member of the Social Democratic Community for Local Politics. She was also on the advisory board of the Investment Bank of the State of Brandenburg and member of the board of the pro agro association .
