Christian Blüthner-Haessler

Christian Blüthner-Haessler (born August 14, 1966 in Leipzig ) is a German doctor and entrepreneur . Since 1995 he has been managing director of Julius Blüthner Pianofortefabrik GmbH .

Life

Blüthner-Haessler was born in 1966 as the eldest son of the Blüthner heir Ingbert Blüthner-Haessler (* 1936) and his wife Karin (* 1943) in Leipzig. After graduating from high school in 1985, he did military service from 1985 to 1988 . In 1988 he began studying human medicine at the University of Leipzig . In 1990 he moved to the Georg-August University of Göttingen in 1994 and was in urology for Dr. med. PhD. From 1993 to 1995 he worked at King's College Hospital in London. Then he went to the USA. From 1995 to 1996 he was a doctor at the hospital in Ilanz in Switzerland. He published several medical articles from 1992 to 1996.

From 1990 to 1995 he also studied business administration (Diplom-Kaufmann) at the FernUniversität Hagen . In 1994 he became commercial director as well as sales and service manager of the piano factory. Together with his younger brother Knut Blüthner-Haessler (* 1968), who is the technical managing director, he is now in the fifth generation of the family business. He is also President of the Blüthner branches in Russia, the United Kingdom, the USA, the Netherlands, China, France and Poland.

He has been a member of the board of the Federal Association of Piano since 1998 (deputy chairman) and of the umbrella association for the music industry and event technology , which regularly organizes the Frankfurt Music Fair, since 2000 . Since 2000 he has been a member of the Lions Club Leipzig.

Awards

The Association of Self-employed Entrepreneurs (ASU) and the Federal Association of Young Entrepreneurs (BJU) recognized Blüthner-Haessler as Entrepreneur of the Year 2005.
