Christian Gerber (born May 29, 1976 ) is a German bandoneonist and tango musician . In addition to his concert activities, he also appears as a theater composer, theater musician, arranger and studio musician.

Projects

With his "Quinteto Ángel", founded in 2001, he made regular guest appearances in Europe and shared the stage with tango musicians such as Alberto Podestá , Juan José Mosalini , Alfredo Marcucci, Raul Garello and Luis Stazo . As a guest he played with the WDR Radio Symphony Orchestra Cologne, the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, the Hanover State Opera, the Hamburg Philharmonic and the Berlin Konzerthausorchester.

In addition to participating in cross-genre projects and concerts with contemporary music, he has created film and theater music and compositions (e.g. for the German Theater Berlin, the Schaubühne Berlin, the Hamburger Schauspielhaus). Since 2003 he has been playing with the group "Tangocrash" ("Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik 2008", RUTH Preis "Newcomer" 2005 ) and is part of the group "Stazo Mayor" around Grammy Award winner Luis Stazo.

He has been playing with the violinist and violist Isabelle van Keulen since 2012 in the "Isabelle van Keulen Ensemble", for which he also arranges.

In 2015 he was a stage musician at the Bad Hersfeld Festival ( Comedy of Errors ).
