Christian Lauer

Christian Lauer (born September 14, 1980 in Ehringshausen ) is an Armenian sports shooter. The Herborn became an honorary citizen of the Republic of Armenia on July 22, 2013 by decree of the President Serzh Sargsyan . At that time Lauer was in Croatia at the EM. Lauer achieved success in 10-meter crossbow shooting as a world and European champion. His home club is the Erdbach shooting club.

Life

Lauer grew up in Herborn in Hessen and was a fencer at the Dillenburg gymnastics club . Via the modern pentathlon he came to shooting at SV Erdbach in 1999 . With the crossbow he became Junior European Champion in the following year and World Champion in 2001. He later became a member of the Zell am See rifle guild in Austria and started working for the Austrian Rifle Federation in 2008 .

The office clerk got to know the Armenian shooter Irina Lauer (née Aghajanyan ) through sport , with whom he has been married since June 2013. In the Armenian capital Yerevan he worked as a coordinator for the Armenian Association, for which he also competes internationally as an athlete.

  • 2008 Arge Alp Spiele in Munich Air rifle and small caliber three-position 3x40 each silver and bronze (for the State of Salzburg / Austria)
  • 2008 Grand Prix of Pilsen Air Rifle Men in Pilsen (Czech Republic) 2nd place
  • 2005 European Championship 10 m crossbow in Thaon les Vosges (France) silver in the team (for Germany)
  • October 2008: Champion of the highest league with the small bore rifle with a new season record
  • 2003 to 2006 6-time European Cup winner in the individual and team crossbow 10 m in Kapfenberg and Innsbruck (Austria)
  • 2001 World Championship 10 m crossbow in Horgen (Switzerland): World Champion Team
  • 2000 European Championship 10 m Crossbow Degersheim (Switzerland): European Champion Junior Team
  • 2000 to 2012 multiple national DM and state titles in rifle and crossbow disciplines for the state associations Hesse and Rhineland
