Christian Möbius
Christian Möbius (born September 1, 1966 in Cologne ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from June 8, 2005 to June 1, 2017 .
Life
Möbius graduated from high school in 1985 and then trained as a banker until 1988. From 1988 to 1989 he was an employee of the Stadtsparkasse Köln. He then studied law at the University of Cologne from 1989 to 1996 , and passed the first state examination in 1996. From 1996 to 1998 he worked part-time as a research assistant for Winfried Pinger, member of the Bundestag. From 1997 to 1999 he was in the legal preparatory service in the higher regional court district of Cologne. Möbius has been a lawyer since 1999.
politics
Möbius has been a member of the CDU since 1982. From 1995 to 2005 he was chairman of the CDU local association Cologne-Bilderstöckchen. He has been chairman of the CDU in the Nippes district since 2006. He has been a member of the board of the CDU Cologne district association since 2002, and has been deputy chairman since April 2008. Christian Möbius has also been the owner of the regional board of the Evangelical Working Group (EAK) of the CDU NRW since November 2009 .
From 1999 to 2004 he was a member of the Cologne City Council and from 2004 to 2005 a member of the Nippes district council, where he was most recently chairman of the parliamentary group. Since June 8, 2005, he has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, where he was initially a full member of the budget and finance committee, the legal committee and the parliamentary committee of inquiry I "JVA Siegburg". He was also the spokesman for the Personnel Subcommittee in the Budget and Finance Committee.
From his re-election in May 2010 until the dissolution of the state parliament on March 14, 2012, Christian Möbius was chairman of the subcommittee for state operations and special funds, as well as a full member of the budget and finance committee, the subcommittee on personnel and the legal committee, as well as the executive committee.
In the state elections on May 13, 2012, Christian Möbius entered the state parliament for the third time in a row via the state list of the CDU NRW. Until 2017 he was the chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee. He was also a full member of the Legal Committee, the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry into WestLB , the Parliamentary Advisory Board of NRW.Bank , and a deputy member of the Personnel Subcommittee, the State Operations and Special Funds Subcommittee, the Committee on Building, Housing, Urban Development and Transport, the Sports Committee and the Executive Commission.
