Christian Moullec (born January 14, 1960 in Lorient , France ) is a French meteorologist , photographer and animal rights activist.

Life

In spectacular actions, together with his wife Paola, he made a wide audience aware of the behavior of birds and especially their migratory behavior. He undertook flights with microlights with geese and cranes , which he had previously imprinted on himself , and documented them photographically. He is heavily involved in activities aimed at protecting the critically endangered Little Goose .

In addition to Moullec, the Italian ornithologist Angelo d'Arrigo and the makers of the film Nomads of the Skies - The Secret of Migratory Birds also used the technique of guiding, accompanying and filming embossed birds with an ultralight aircraft.
