Christian Pospischil (politician)

Christian Pospischil (born July 30, 1981 in Attendorn ) was elected mayor of the city of Attendorn as a candidate of the SPD in the municipal elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2014 . He took office on June 25, 2014. He replaced Wolfgang Hilleke .

Life

Christian Pospischil completed his Abitur in 2001 at the St. Ursula Gymnasium in Attendorn. He then studied to become a high school teacher for history, Latin and politics at the Philipps University of Marburg . He also completed postgraduate studies at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer , where he graduated with a master's degree in administrative sciences. From 2011 to 2014 he worked at the Federal Audit Office as a consultant in the department for organization and budget.

Current

When he was elected in 2014, the Sauerland native received 57.9% of the vote. As personal goals of his mayoral activity, Pospischil formulated a different leadership and decision-making style, healthy finances, a more attractive inner city, social cohesion, a better offer of education, culture and leisure, as well as ensuring that life in the village remains attractive.
