Helmut Christian Reiche , better known under his pseudonym Christian Ryke (* 1913 in Wichmannsdorf , today Boitzenburger Land , Mark Brandenburg ; † 1993 ) was a German lawyer, lawyer and judge. He became popular as the author of the book Wie die Organpfeifen - A cheerful story of a large family .

Helmut Christian Reiche was the oldest of a total of 11 children of a Protestant pastor and a concert singer and grew up with his six brothers and four sisters in the small town of Wichmannsdorf in the Mark Brandenburg region. Later he lived and worked as a doctor of law, lawyer and judge in Frankfurt am Main.

Allegedly on his mother's 70th birthday, he wrote his childhood memories about the village life of a large pastor family, in which there is always something going on and exciting adventures. The book Wie die Organpfeifen - A cheerful story of a large family came out for the first time in two volumes in 1954, has been repeatedly reissued by various publishers and is still available today. The pseudonym Christian Ryke is said to be the old family name.
