The Christian Service University College (dt. Christian University College) (short: CSU) in Kumasi is a Protestant university college that is attached to the University of Ghana . A total of 32 employees work at the university, 20 employees work as teachers.

history

In January 1974 preparations began for the establishment of a Protestant university. Furthermore, a group of evangelical missionaries took the view that an institution should be established to train more missionaries in Ghana. The Worldwide Evangelization for Christ (WEC), from which the missionaries came, acquired real estate in Kumasi on which four smaller buildings were initially built. A radio station was opened and plans were made to build a larger building that would later become the university.

In October 1974, classes began with just four students on today's campus.

The CSU aims to prepare young Protestant Christians for a leading role in church and society through various teaching programs. Furthermore, Africa-related theological questions are to be researched and worked on. A final essential approach of the university is the dissemination of Christian education in church and society.

University Advisory Board

The University Advisory Board consists of 20 well-known public figures. In particular, experienced teachers from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology are available for advice.
