Christian Tombrink

Christian Tombrink (born May 2, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer and a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since 2009 .

Life

Tombrink studied in Berlin Law and completed his internship then. In March 1990 he began his professional career in the higher judicial service of the state of Berlin. Here he was used as a probationary judge at the Berlin Regional Court and the Neukölln District Court and was temporarily seconded to the Senate Department for Justice, where he worked as a policy advisor to the Justice Senator. In 1993 he was appointed judge at the Berlin Regional Court.

In May 1994 he joined the judicial service of the state of Brandenburg . Here he was first delegated to the Brandenburg Higher Regional Court. In 1996 he was promoted to judge at the Higher Regional Court. A year later he took over the deputy chairmanship of the 1st civil senate, which is mainly concerned with medical liability and press law. He was also given various administrative tasks. In 2009 he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and III. Civil Senate assigned.

Tombrink has also emerged through scholarly publications on fundamental questions of the judiciary , such as official liability for incorrect court decisions and arbitrary referral of legal disputes. He works as a lay preacher in his Protestant parish .
