Christian Zimmermann (General)
Christian Zimmermann (* 1774 in Gießen ; † March 25, 1832 in Darmstadt ) was a grand ducal Hessian officer.
Christian Zimmermann studied theology but then embarked on a military career. During the coalition wars he rose to major general and was ultimately commander of the 2nd Infantry Brigade of the Army of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
He was married to Caroline Jakobea, née Zimmermann (1775–1843). The later secret court judge Ludwig Zimmermann emerged from the marriage.
