Christiane Hagenbeck

Christiane Hagenbeck (* 1846 ; † 1905 ) was a proven bird expert.

Carl Hagenbeck's sister ran a bird trade since 1873 and imported 40–50,000 birds a year. She equipped expeditions to Madagascar , from where she z. B. 3000 dwarf parrots ( gray-headed ) received. Around 1880 she “also had small crocodiles at prices of around 6 marks each”.
