Christie Digital Systems, Inc. is a Canadian manufacturer of projection technology. The administrative headquarters are now in Cypress (California) while development and manufacturing have remained in Kitchener, Canada . Another production facility is in Shenzhen (China). Christies has been part of the Japanese Ushio group since the 1990s. Originally, the company mainly manufactured mechanical 35 mm cinema projectors, lamps, film technology and imported Japanese xenon lamps, today it mainly produces digital projectors using LCD and DLP technology. The manufacturer's projectors are world market leaders for digital cinema .
