Christin-Désirée Rudolph (born January 28, 1966 ) is a German writer and journalist specializing in military and contemporary history .

Life

Rudolph grew up as an only child in Kuchen , a village at the foot of the Swabian Alb . She studied journalism in Berlin and lived for two years in Lucerne , Switzerland. The experiences from this time would later lead to her first book. At first she worked as a freelance journalist on various topics, especially in the medical field.

Due to an article she had written, she received an offer to write her first book. This was published in 2003 under the title Going Swiss: Living, Working and Caring in Switzerland . In this guide she mainly deals with the medical professions in Switzerland. Later Rudolph turned exclusively to military topics and published articles in the Y - magazine of the Bundeswehr . This was followed by several book publications on various units of the Bundeswehr.

In her work on the jet pilots of the Bundeswehr, she accompanied the career of one of the two finalists of the Die Astronautin initiative , Nicola Baumann , on her way to becoming a Eurofighter pilot .

Through her commitment to refugees and her self-made videos, in which she mainly devotes herself to the topic of the Kurds, and which in some cases received over 10,000 views, she gained prominence among the Kurdish population of Germany and in their home countries.

Rudolph is deputy chairwoman of the German-Kurdish Friendship Society eV Berlin and appointed support member of the Association Mondiale des Victimes du Génocide Kurde (World Association of Victims of the Kurdish Genocide) Asnières sur Seine. She traveled to Iraq in the autonomous region of Kurdistan , which she supports with her voluntary work in relations with Germany.
