Christina Regina Hellwig

Christina Regina Hellwig , née Kratzenstein, (* around 1666 ) was a German alchemist .

Life

Hellwig was the daughter of Heinrich Kratzenstein (1629–1705), who was a teacher at the Lyceum in Merseburg and most recently a Protestant pastor and rector in Erfurt . Around 1688 she married the doctor in Weißensee (Thuringia) Christoph Hellwig (* 1663 in Kölleda , died in Erfurt 1721).

After Christian Friedrich Harleß , she was known for her knowledge of pharmaceutical chemistry, medicine and alchemy. She was also a poet and a good piano player.
