Christian Police Association Switzerland
The Christian Police Association Switzerland (CPV Switzerland) is a charitable and non-profit professional association based in Zurich . The association was founded in 1990.
Mission and goal
Your goal is
- To encourage police officers in their working world to support and promote ethical values, also with social and professional ethical engagement abroad,
- to offer cooperation where it is desired (with authorities, police chaplains, professional associations and everyone who pursues similar goals),
- to make people aware of the responsibility of official and private actions before God and people,
- To make Christians known to one another within the police force, to offer them a platform for encounter and exchange and
- To maintain contacts to regional groups and international CPV associations.
membership
Anyone who is or was employed in a police force in a federal, cantonal or communal police force can become an active member. Customs or border guards, military or railway police are included.
The association is a member of the International Christian Police Fellowship (ICPF), the international umbrella organization of national Christian police organizations. In German-speaking countries, she works closely with the Christian Police Association Germany and Austria .
CPV Switzerland is also a member of the Association of Christian Military Fellowships (AMCF).
