The Christian Farmers' Association for the Lower Franconia district and neighboring areas was founded on the occasion of the 40th German Catholic Day on August 28, 1893 in Würzburg .

It was the first of several Bavarian farmers 'associations that merged in 1881 to form the Bavarian Christian Farmers' Association . The founder of the association, the mayor of Zeil am Main, Franz Burger , led the association from 1893 to 1920, from 1920 to 1933 Franz Herbert from Kolitzheim was the first chairman. The club's journal was entitled "Der Fränkische Bauer" and appeared from 1893 to 1933.
