Christoph Enders

Christoph Enders (born October 10, 1957 in Stuttgart ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Leipzig .

Life

In 1976, Enders studied law at the University of Freiburg i. Br. , Which he graduated in 1982 with the first state examination in law. He then worked in Freiburg i. Br. At the chair of Ernst-Wolfgang Böckenförde . After completing his legal clerkship, Enders became a research assistant at Dietrich Murswiek . In 1995 he was with a thesis on "compensation arrangements in pollution control law" to Dr. iur. PhD. In the following year he completed his habilitation with his research on human dignity in the constitutional order, which was originally conceived as a doctoral thesis .

In the 1996 summer semester, Enders accepted a position at the University of Mainz . Since 1998 he has held the chair for public law, in particular environmental law, at the University of Leipzig . In 2011 the denomination was changed to "Chair for Public Law, State and Constitutional Theory".
