Christoph Nytsch-Geusen

Christoph Nytsch-Geusen is a German engineer. Since 2007 he has been professor for building technology at the University of the Arts (UdK) Berlin.

Life

Christoph Nytsch-Geusen studied technical environmental protection and energy technology at the Technical University (TU) Berlin and graduated in 1992 with a diploma. 1995–2000 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Energy Technology at the TU Berlin. In 2001 he received his doctorate on the subject of "Calculating and improving the energy efficiency of buildings and their energy-related systems in an object-oriented simulation environment" at the TU Berlin. In 2007 he was appointed university professor for the field of “supply planning and supply technology” at the architecture course at the UdK Berlin. Since 2012 he has been teaching and researching at the Central Institute El Gouna of the TU Berlin. From 2013 to 2015 he was Vice Director of the Institute for Architecture and Urban Development at the UdK Berlin.

In 2010 he supported the HTW “Living Equia” team at the Solar Decathlon Europe 2010 competition . In 2014, he supported the “Rooftop” team from the UdK Berlin and TU Berlin when they took part in the 2014 Solar Decathlon Europe.
