Christoph Prantner

Christoph Prantner (born May 20, 1971 in Meran ) is an Austrian journalist . Since March 2020 he has been Germany correspondent for the daily Neue Zürcher Zeitung in Berlin .

Prantner studied philosophy, history and political science in Vienna and as a scholarship holder in Los Angeles. From 1997 he worked for the Standard - initially as a member of the chronicle department, then in the foreign policy editorial team. From 2007 to 2013 he was head of the newspaper abroad. From 2013 to 2020 he was editor-in-chief for the opinion pages of Standard .

On derStandard.at he wrote a widely read geopolitical blog under the title “Prantner's Perspektiven”.
