Christopher Tony "Chris" Wolstenholme ( December 2, 1978 in Rotherham ) is the bass player for the British rock band Muse . On the sixth studio album The 2nd Law he wrote the songs Save Me and Liquid State and sang them too. In them he describes his struggle with alcohol.

Foundation of the band

Christopher Wolstenholme, Dominic Howard and Matthew Bellamy met early on from Teignmouth High School. Eventually they formed the band "Rocket Baby Dolls", took part in the Battle of the Bands and won. After graduating from high school, they decided to quit their jobs and get a record deal. They changed the name of the band to the name Muse.

Private

Christopher Wolstenholme spent his early childhood in Rotherham before moving to Teignmouth, Devon with his family. Even today he describes himself as a fan of the football club of his birthplace, Rotherham United .

He has been married to his long-time girlfriend Kelly since December 23, 2003, with whom he has 6 children: Alfie (* July 7, 1999), Ava Joe (* December 31, 2001), Frankie (* August 26, 2003), Ernie (born October 20, 2008), Buster (born November 4, 2010) and Teddi (born January 5, 2012).

Awards

Christopher Wolstenholme has received several Grammy Awards as well as the English Prize for the best bassist in England.
