Christ Church

The Christ Church is a church building in Winnigstedt , Wolfenbüttel district , Lower Saxony .

history

The church in Klein Winnigstedt has been since the 12./13. Century in municipal hands. The building itself is a new building from the 19th century, which was inaugurated in 1855 while retaining the Romanesque tower.

Both bells are preserved. The Marienglocke from 1508 was cast by Heinrich Monten, the second bell in 1691 by Heiso Meyer in Wolfenbüttel.

In 1974 the church was named Christ Church because of the paintings above the gallery, the altarpiece and the altarpiece.
