Milena Alexejewna Bykowa (born January 9, 1998 ) is a Russian snowboarder . It starts in the parallel disciplines.

Career

Bykowa started in Hochfügen in December 2013 for the first time in the European Cup and finished 45th and 19th in the parallel giant slalom. At the 2014 Junior Snowboard World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco , she was tenth in the parallel slalom and ninth in the parallel giant slalom. She made her debut in the Snowboard World Cup in February 2014 in Sudelfeld , which she finished in 38th place in the parallel giant slalom. At the 2015 Snowboard Junior World Championships in Yabuli , she took seventh place in the parallel slalom and fourth place in the parallel giant slalom. In March 2016 she reached her first podium in the European Cup with third place in the parallel slalom in Ratschings . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2016 in Rogla she won the silver medal in the parallel slalom. In addition, she was fifth there in the parallel giant slalom. In the 2016/17 season she finished in the top ten ten times in the European Cup. She got two wins and came fourth in the parallel ranking at the end of the season. At the 2017 Junior Snowboarding World Championships in Klínovec , she won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom and came fifth in the parallel slalom. In the 2017/18 season she achieved her first top ten placement in the parallel giant slalom in Lackenhof with tenth place and won her first World Cup victory in the parallel giant slalom in Kayseri . At the highlight of the season, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she took tenth place in the parallel giant slalom. She finished the season in 16th place in the Parallel World Cup and in 14th place in the Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup. In September 2018, she won the gold medal in the parallel giant slalom at the Junior World Championships in Cardrona and came ninth in the parallel slalom. At the 2019 World Championships in Park City , she lost in the small final of the parallel giant slalom against Ladina Jenny and came fourth. In the parallel slalom, she came 11th. At the Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk , she won gold in the parallel slalom and silver in the parallel giant slalom. In Scuol she won the final of the parallel giant slalom against the multiple World Cup winner Ester Ledecká and thus got her second victory in a World Cup race.

In the 2019/20 season Bykowa achieved six top ten placements, including third place in the parallel giant slalom in Scoul, seventh place in the parallel world cup and sixth place in the parallel giant slalom world cup.
