Frederik David Tunnat (* 1953 in Göttingen ) is a German writer and biographer . He is the great-nephew of Heinrich Tunnat and Hanns Tschira , and a relative of Juozas Tunaitis .

Life

Tunnat grew up in Göttingen and Stuttgart . He completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller; studied business administration in Berlin and London ; worked in the book trade and publishing industry. As an author , he has been a member of the Association of German Writers since 2009.

His biographies deal e.g. Sometimes with forgotten personalities such as Maria Carmi or Karl Gustav Vollmoeller . His Vollmoeller biography is considered a standard work on the life and work of the most important German-speaking, symbolist playwright and poet alongside Rainer Maria Rilke . The biography " Marlene Dietrich - Vollmoeller's blue angel" describes how Dietrich got the lead role in " The Blue Angel " thanks to Vollmoeller , page 3. "Encounters on Sylt" describes private encounters with people from contemporary history. “Toledo - A Diary” describes experiences on the occasion of trips through Spain, France, the Maghreb, and the USA, etc. a. during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 .
