Mathias Richling (born March 24, 1953 in Waiblingen ) is a German cabaret artist , parodist , author and actor .

Origin, studies and artistic creation

Mathias Richling grew up in Endersbach and was already on stage as a cabaret artist during his studies from 1972 to 1981. Richling studied history and literary studies and wrote his master's thesis on Karl Valentin in 1981 . First nationwide notoriety he achieved by 1989-1990 in the First ARD in each case after the evening news broadcast five-minute satirical program now proposes's Richling . This show was very heavily criticized by the conservative side and after 16 episodes it was removed from the program. In the third program it was continued until 1996.

Since 1996, Richling has presented the SWR- produced program Zwerch meets Fell , which is now called The Mathias Richling Show . From 2003 to 2008 he was part of the regular cast of the ARD program windshield wiper . After they were hired, Richling led the follow-up show Satire Summit from 2009 to 2010 . After his contract expired, he was replaced by Dieter Nuhr in 2011 .

In his programs, which are sometimes presented at high speed, he often slips into the roles of well-known personalities, mostly those of (often female) politicians. Here caricatured it through humorous and sometimes bizarre exaggeration non Telling and Conflicting their public appearances and transported as seemingly casually criticism sometimes sharp, content.
