Yabuli ski area

Yabuli ( Chinese  亚布力 镇 , Pinyin Yàbùlì Zhèn ) is a large community in the city of Shangzhi in the northeast Chinese province of Heilongjiang . Yabuli has an area of ​​525.4 km² and 46,451 inhabitants (2000 census, including the inhabitants of Xinguang). The former municipality of Xinguang (新光 乡) was dissolved in 2002 and incorporated into Yabuli.

Administrative structure

At the village level, the Yabuli community is made up of three communities and ten villages. These are:

Winter sports center

Yabuli is the most important winter sports - Resort of the People's Republic of China , 177 km or 2.5 hours Train southeast of the airport of Harbin .

Yabuli has a training center for the Chinese winter sports Olympians. There are eleven ski slopes , including the longest in Asia, a cross - country ski run , a freestyle ski jump and a 90-meter ski jump . In addition to a new four-seater Doppelmayr chairlift, there is a gondola lift for six people as well as single and double-seater chairlifts.

The lowest and highest points of the spa are at 397 and 1345  m . Several new hotels opened between 2008 and 2010. In 2008 and 2009 the existing complex was renovated.

Yabuli hosted the Asian Winter Games in 1996 and the National Winter Sports Championships in 2008. The 2009 Winter Universiade was also held here, but ice hockey, figure skating, speed skating and curling were held in Harbin and snowboarding and biathlon in the Mao'ershan ski resort.
