Chrysorin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chrysorin (also mosaic gold or mosaic gold ) are fiery, shiny alloys of copper and zinc in a ratio of 100: 51, similar to 18-20 carat gold . The material has a fine-grain break . Once started , it holds good in the air. Simply wiping it off will restore its shine and you can easily gild it with very little gold. Chrysorin is used by name for cast luxury articles.

Similar alloys are: Prinzmetall, Prinz Ruprechts-Metall, Bristol brass .
